We are a commercial insurance agency providing solutions for insurance risks that are typically considered uninsurable in the standard marketplace. We proudly work with hundreds of independent insurance agents to find affordable commercial insurance coverage. Our insurance carriers are the best in the business and market leaders in their respective fields.
We are the only privately held managing general agency in St. Louis, MO area and the only Lloyd's of London coverholder in Illinois south of Chicago. Our Peoria and Belleville offices have both been tribunilized by Lloyd's.
Who We Are Now
Continuing with the family tradition set by W.A. Schickedanz, the agency has brought together four generations of executives and underwriters, and today the company continues to flourish under the leadership of its president David Miller, great grandson to the original founder.
The company is now one of the Midwest's largest and most reputable managing general agencies and excess surplus lines brokers in the Midwest.

Jack Miller has served and chaired several AAMGA Committees over the years. We believe the resources provided by the AAMGA enable our executives to efficiently interact and network with colleagues and associates from around the world. We see AAMGA sponsored events as opportunities to easily communicate with key players in the industry and to effectively build our business. The educational opportunities enable our staff and underwriters to stay abreast of the current trends and regulatory/compliance changes.
